After management has established the policy, the day-to-day affairs are taken care of by the secretariat, which falls under the responsibility of the secretary. Some seventy people are employed at the secretariat. The Fish Product Board's head office is based in Rijswijk. In order to look after the interests of the mussel branch, a subsidiary office was established in Yerseke - the Mussel Office. The only Dutch mussel auction, which is also in Yerseke, is managed from this office as well.
